Information for Summer Sesion 2025 (Subject to Change)
Registrations: April 7th to May 23rd / Inscripciones: 7 de abril hasta el 23 de mayo
Ages: 5 – 14* years old (*if still in jr. high)
Our Tennis Camp is the perfect opportunity for young athletes to learn and enjoy the game of tennis. We offer two age divisions: 5-10 and 11-14. And guess what? Kids aged 10 can even "play up" and join the 11-14 division if they're up for the challenge!
Our camp is all about teaching the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and inclusive environment. Leading the way is our fantastic instructor, Abraham Maldonado. He's not only a recipient of the Kern County Tennis Association Award but also a current Bakersfield College Tennis Student Athlete. Abraham's passion for the game shines through as he focuses on developing the next generation of tennis players.
At our camp, we want to instill a love for the game in our participants while also encouraging them to continuously improve. It's all about fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere where everyone feels included. We can't wait to see the participants thrive and develop their skills on the court!
Cost of Registration:
Early Bird Fee - April 7 - April 18

Parent Meeting: Thursday, June 12th at 6:00 PM at the Shafter Walker Center (505 Sunset Ave.)
At the meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Meet Coach Nelson Salinas and his team of dedicated Tennis Instructor Aides
- Receive important information about the camp schedule
- Pick up your child’s team uniform, visor, and tennis equipment (including racquets if needed)
Please bring your tennis camper along! We’ll have refreshments and a special treat just for them. 🍪🍹
A quick preview of our camp schedule:
🏕️ Camp officially begins on Tuesday, June 17th
⏰ Ages 5–10: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
⏰ Ages 11–14: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
📅 Please note: Practice times will shift 30 minutes later for both age groups during the months of July and August—we'll go over all the details at the meeting.

Nuestro Campamento de Tenis es la oportunidad perfecta para que los jóvenes atletas aprendan y disfruten del juego de tenis. Ofrecemos dos divisiones por edades: 5-10 y 11-14. ¡Y adivina qué! ¡Los niños de 10 años incluso pueden "jugar arriba" y unirse a la división de 11-14 si están listos para el desafío!
Nuestro campamento se trata de enseñar los fundamentos del tenis en un ambiente divertido e inclusivo. A la cabeza está nuestro fantástico instructor, Abraham Maldonado. Reunión de padres: Jueves 12 de junio a las 6:00 p.m. en el Shafter Walker Center (505 Sunset Ave.)
En la reunión, tendrá la oportunidad de:
- Conozca al entrenador Nelson Salinas y su equipo de asistentes de instructores de tenis
- Recibir información importante sobre el horario del campamento
- Recoja el uniforme del equipo, la visera y el equipo de tenis de su hijo (incluidas las raquetas si es necesario)
¡Por favor, traiga su caravana de tenis! Tendremos refrescos y un regalo especial solo para ellos. 🍪🍹
