We are not looking for people who simply want to win—we are looking for individuals who want to give back to the Shafter community by dedicating their time, patience, and effort to coaching our youth.

Our programs exist for the kids, and we welcome both coaches and parents who are willing to step up and do it for them. If you love sports and grew up in Shafter, chances are you participated in a Shafter Recreation program such as basketball, flag fooball, baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis or cross country . You understand firsthand the positive impact youth sports can have on our community.

Our goal is to help kids build strong character, develop a solid work ethic, and become great student-athletes—but most importantly, to make sure every child is having fun.

No experience required—just a willingness to help coach a team. Come help us invest in the lives of Shafter’s youth and make a lasting difference.
